TurtleSkin Metal Flex Accessory (MFA) is the first material to provide protection from knife blades, spiked weapons, and hypodermic needle threats in one thin, flexible, and lightweight panel.
Protection Level
TurtleSkin MFA offers a combination of NIJ Edged Weapon Level 3 and Spike Level 2 protection. As an added benefit, MFA improves overall performance of a ballistic package by further reducing blunt trauma.
Design Advantage
TurtleSkin MFA provides significant tactical advantages without sacrificing flexibility or concealability. MFA weighs less than 0.92 lb. per square foot and is less than 0.14 in. thick. MFA is lightweight and flexible enough to conform to the anatomy of both male and female officers, effectively eliminating the discomforts associated with hard trauma plates.
Protection Options
MFA is available in a full-size MFA stab vest, an MFA panel, or an MFA trauma panel insert for your existing armor jacket. Military, police, law enforcement, security guards and corrections officers can use MFA advanced stab protection in a variety of common sizes or custom built to user specs. In the field, TurtleSkin MFA panels were added to the armor of 40,000 officers in the Netherlands.
